Can't uninstall or reinstall

Windows 7, 64 bit

Trying to uninstall from "add or remove programs" says "could not find uninstaller to launch"

trying to install with the downloader says "you have the latest version of fusion 360. would you like to start the application?"

trying to start fusion 360: "the program can't start because QtCore_Ad_4.dll is missin gfrom your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Have you tried using the Clean Uninstall directions to remove and re-install?

I've done everything on the Clean Uninstall (except step 2 in "uninstall the product, as it couldn't find an uninstaller for fusion 360, as said above). However, when I now try and install fusion 360 it pops up "unable to install at this time, please try again later"

Hi Alex,

We are sorry for the inconvenience that may have caused you.

If the Clean Uninstall doesn't work, you can refer to below steps for a full clean up. But please make sure to backup any data you want before proceed.

1.right click on the icon on desktop and select "Open file location"

2.you'll open the window like "c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\60b7......"

3.delete the folder Autodesk under c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\

4.delete the folder Autodesk under c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\

5.go back to control panel and see if you're able to remove the fusion from "Programs and Features"

6.restart your computer

7.then try to install the fusion again from the website.

Again, please make sure that there's no data you want under the c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk and c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk before you try this.

Hope it could help you.

Please let us know if you have any question.

Thanks.

Hey, Joseph.  I followed the steps outlined and now I'm getting:            Cannot find script file "C:\Users\JohnCord\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\meta\uninstall.wsf"

Help!!  I feel like I've fallen and can't get up!

Hi @JohnCord1,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Just to check - was there an error which caused you to need to uninstall/reinstall the software? If so, have you tried @innovatenate's suggestion above about trying the clean uninstall (and just skipping the uninstall from control panel step?). Before you uninstall however (if you haven't tried the clean uninstall), can you post your installation log files? Those can be found by following the steps in this guide here.

Thanks,

Hi John,

Sounds like you may have done most of the uninstall and as long as certain folders were removed you should be able to install now.

Specifically check for c:\users\johncord\appdata\local\autodesk\webdeploy. If this folder still exists, then delete it. If you get an error that it can't be deleted, restart your system and then try deleting it.

Once removed, re-run the streamer by navigating to c:\users\johncord\downloads and double-click on the Fusion 360 Client Downloader file. This should start the install. If it doesn't, please let us know and what, if any error message(s) you receive.

Hope this helps.

High fives and Kudos to all who helped!!! I am still learning the program.  Found a way to download and import my "SketchUp" files  into my drawing.  I still want to get one of those "Life Alert things where I can call you all again when "I've fallen and I can't get up!"  Love you guys!!!!

Hello all,

During efforts of solving one problem, I accidentally removed few files from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy

My fusion dint start after that. I wanted to clean uninstall and install it again. Followed the procedure to remove the Autodesk, but couldn't do it because of one problem(screenshot attached). I realised that I accidentally deleted uninstall file I guess. Please help in uninstalling the fusion360 from my system.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Hi Ashutosh,

To do a quick manual uninstall launch Explorer and check for c:\users\{username}\appdata\local\autodesk\webdeploy. If this folder still exists, then delete it. If you get an error that it can't be deleted, restart your system and then try deleting it.

Once removed, re-run the streamer by navigating to c:\users\{username}\downloads and double-click on the Fusion 360 Client Downloader file. This should start the install. If it doesn't, please let us know and what, if any error message(s) you receive.

Well, I follow most of these instructions, except number 3, because I couldn't find webdeploy/production/......,

as its say, I went to AppData, Local, then Autodesk but there was no sign of any file called webdeploy, so I did the next step that was deleting the folder Autodesk in App Data Local and Roaming, but when I try to delete the app from the contro panel it says:  Can not find script file AppDate/Local/Autodesk/webdeploy/meta/uninstall.wsf, and  before I did all of these I installed the fusion 360 cleaner but it didnt help, and I have already followed and done other adivices that are written in this webpage, as deleting the smaller programs, and stuff but nothing seems to work 😞 im really desperate, please help me :c  sorry for all the grammatical mistakes in here, im not a native speaker.
