Warpage + Shrinkage

How to reduce warpage and shrinkage simultaneously or at a same time??????

i tried by increasing packing pressure, it reduces shrinkage value but increases warpage. I also gone through many article but couldn't find useful inforamation.

kindly reply..

Check "isolate cause of warpage" it would give you an insight what is actually the main cause of warpage.

Usually it is differential shrinkage.  Increasing packing pressure causing increase of differential shrinkage means that some areas of the molding freeze at packing pressure and some at zero pressure. Look into the pressure predictions and try to profile packig pressure so it would freeze at the same pressure. "Process optimization" (Fill+Pack) would do something like this atoumatically (midplane and fusion only).

If the main cause of warpage is differential cooling try to improve the cooling syatem.

If the main cause is "orientation" try to redesign gating to change the orientation pattern.

If the main case is the corner effect then try to increase packing pressure or redesign the part.

It may also help to do DOE simulation analysis and check how warpage and shrinkage depends on process parameters.
