Venting

I am working on a speaker lid and there are like 10000 holes on this thing. In the past I have just put the venting nodes on where I want to vent but I was wondering if there is an easier way to do that with a very large area to vent. Attaches is a screen grab of the part I am working with.

Do you really need to do vent analysis?

  • Such cases with inserts, we may not need to vent analysis. I am not sure about requirement
  • Surface air trap chance may come at end fill region within grill,  if gate is out side the part may be at centre of grill or near to circumference of grill due to flow hesitation in grill..
  • Providing proper vent at end fill region is possible.

Are you anticipiating  any issue due to improper venting?

why can't you use Porous vent plug ?

After reviewing with my superiors, we have decided to use a Porcerax PM35 insert.

Thank you for your input!
