Use multiple Cores for Simulation on Linux Redhat (MF 2013)

Hi everybody,

I try to use the solver on linux system for my simulations (MF 2013). But it just uses 1 of 24 cores for a simulation. Is it possible to use more cores, if yes how can i realize that?

Thanks,

Markus

Hi,

There was a problem on Linux where the Multi-threading didn't work properly for all solvers. This prroblem was addresssed in the 20115 release.

Side note: the perrformance improvements gained by extra cores drops off significantly after something like 8 cores. There may not be much difference in speed between solving using 8 cores and 20 for instance.
