Thickness multiplier

Could anyone explain me what does mean " Thickness multiplier " and " Global thickness multiplier" in DOE analysis. What's the difference and how to manipulate this parameters during DOE analysis?
Thanks

Hi,
Thickness Multiplier is how you want the Design of Experiment (DOE) solver to choose the maximum extent,
in percentage terms, by which to increase/decrease thickness values in the part.

The following options can be selected:
Do Not Change
Select this option if you want the current thicknesses in the part to be maintained in the experiment.
Automatic
Select this option if you want the DOE solver to automatically determine a suitable maximum extent,
in percentage terms, by which to increase/decrease thickness values in the part.
Specified
Select this option if you want to specify the maximum extent, in percentage terms,
by which to increase/decrease thickness values in the part.

So it is the setting for solver.

Global thickness multiplier
is how it is applied in solver when doing Taguchi criterion ranking,
and will also be a "sliding" parameter when plot the result.
Right-click on displayed Optimization result, Properties, and
Factors that can be "sliding" parameters are
Melt temperature, Mold temperature, Global thickness multiplier
