simulation of In-mold labeling

Hello .

Somebody with experience with in-mold labeling? Demand on mesh, constrains setting ,..... . And results, how they match real products ...

Hi,
generally In-mold labels are very thin part inserts (less than 1mm thick).

One must run a Cool analysis to include in-mold labels in calculations.

If a label is more than 1mm thick, you will need to model it as a part insert.

The procedure is well described in Insight help.
Search for Part Inserts and and look at "Modeling in-mold labels"

Regards,
Berndt

Does anyone have a "generic" value for a PP in-mold label interface conductance.  We utilize many IML vendors, but this information is not readily available and from what I understand very difficult and costly to measure.

Kind Regards,
