Setting up fill with ram speed over ram position is always faster than reality?

Hi folks,

twice I did set up a real process in moldflow with ram speed (mm/s) over ram position (mm). Both times injection time was much shorter than in the real process?

Any hints why this could be?

Philipp

Hi,
as you get a shorter fill time than expected, it has a higher flow rate than expected.
A reason can be the screw diameter.
Did you set the screw diameter the same as in real process?

It is set at:
Process settings, Advanced Options...
Injection molding machine > Edit...
tab Injection Unit
Machine screw diameter

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Berndt
