"Allow Docking" option isn't available, a study task panel is floating.

Hi team,

I can't dock a study task panel in ASMI.

I clicked a empty space and right click, It doesn't show a "Allow docking" and "hide" menu.

 

I search a similar case. "Allow Docking" option isn't available, All panels are floating.

So I run a cleanreg.exe. then, noting changed.

 

Can anyone help me this issue?

Hello Sujin,

To see the "allow docking" menu, click up in the empty space next to the Tasks and Tools tabs. You should be able to see it if you click there.

Hi Sujin,

That original issue was mine luckily, so i can ask you to do this:
As Andrea stated correctly you will need to Right click of your mouse button infront of Tasks & Tools tab (just below the Project bar), you will get 'Allow Docking' option, after that just drag the project window to desired location, it will dock automatically.

This will solve your problem.

Hi, Andrea, Mayur,

 

Thank you for your kind response.

 

the strange thing is when I clicked a next to the task and tools tap, Nothing happened.

However the layer panel and notes panel are normally worked.

 

So I tried to run cleanreg.exe.

However the "Allow docking" menu still does not show.

Hi Sujin,

I hope you are using the similar path as:
Start > Programs > Autodesk > Autodesk Moldflow Insight 20XX > Autodesk Moldflow Insight 20XX Command Shell cleanreg <enter>

Otherwise, Andrea would be the best person to help you in this regards.

Hi Sujin,

I did forgot to mention have you tried Autodesk Moldflow Insight 20XX Command Shell with "Run as Administrator'?

Yes. I tried to run as Administrator that file.

 

How can I share my screen?

Hi Sujin,
What Mayur explained is correct, it will clean all user interface settings and keep default setting.
Start\All Programs\Autodesk\Autodesk Moldflow Insight 20XX\Tool\ Autodesk Moldflow Insight 20XX Command shell > Cleanreg <Enter>

I couldn't cleanreg file both Synergy and insight 2014.

 

and also another customer has same issue.

 

Can you check this file and send me?

Hi Sujin,

You can find the Cleanreg paths:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation Moldflow Synergy 20XX\bin\synergycleanreg.exe
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation Moldflow Insight 20XX\bin\insightcleanreg.exe

Just run these files as 'Run as Admin'

Hi Mayur,

 

There is not cleanreg.exe file.

I using win 7 64 bit Korean version and ASMI 2014 SP2 in English version.

 

I just called a david lee in ADSK Korea ASE.

He said also he has not cleanreg.exe in 2014 version.

 

Can you check attached pictures?

 

and If you possible, Can you send me that file for my email?

Hi Sujin,

Show me files starting with 'S' for 'synergycleanreg.exe' & files starting with 'I' for 'insightcleanreg.exe'
