Hello,

I am working on a Fill+Pack analysis of an Insert molding. Few electrical pins (metal) are insert molded during molding. I want to measure the pressure exerting on the metal pins during molding. I need this value for further structural simulation.

So, from "Pressure XY" plot I plotted a graph for few nodes on the insert surface. Is it the right value of pressure exerting on the metal insert ? 

I am asking this because the explanation of "Pressure" and "Pressure gradient" in AMI help confused me.

Yes, you can use the XY pressure plot to find pressure on inserts.

In AMPI, you need map pressure or temperature results to a mold mesh surface for export to ANSYS for core deflection analysis.
