New material database

Hi Guys,

My name is Guru, I am doing my masters project with Autodesk Moldflow. I actually have a thermoset material which can't be found in the material list. How can I add this material?

Will appreciate a quick response. thanks Edited by: donAmaruSarma on May 27, 2010 10:53 AM

Hi,

if you have this material data already fitted for analysis in a .udb-file
you can use Select Material and Import...
Or put udb-file in folder such as C:\My AMI 2011 Projects\udb
The filename will be in field Manufacturer when Select Material

If this is raw data, to be fitted for analysis, please contact:
datafittingmoldflow@autodesk.com

Autodesk Moldflow Plastics Labs
information at:

Berndt

Hai Guru,

Do you have the datasheet for ur material?
If not try to find it in http://prospector.ides.com. or http://www.ides.com.

After knowing its properties you can even try to go for alternate grade with same family and properties that are available in Moldflow database.

Well Guys thanks for replying. I have the material data sheet, MSDS everything on hand. I'll e-mail the autodesk people to get them transfered into udb file.

Best Regards,
Guru
