Large differences in results between Moldflow 2012 and 2014

Dear all,

The result of the injection pressure is Moldflow 2014 30% lower than the version Moldflow 2012. We have this great difference between worry, because now you can guess that the results are correct. The results of the injection pressure is equal to us with the reality of the IMM. Can anyone advise me or has the same experience with different results?

thank you Jarda

I'm not very surprised.

I also noticed pressures variations between Moldflow versions.

But rarely so important.

You could ask the support to check the material data.

Precise the exact grades you are talking about and witch kind of mesh you use.

Personally, I found a difference of 45% between the Midplane, Dual Domain and 3D mesh for the same part.

This, with the PC Xantar 19R, a material certified Gold by Moldflow !

I made a comparison on a plate with 10 different materials, MPI 2012, 2013, 2014 and the 3 kind of mesh.

As I wrote before, I found sometimes big differences between the kind of mesh, but not between the MPI versions.

Mr.Pascal gosset,

I came across this interesting thing upon searching in Moldflow regarding Midplane vs 3D mesh results comparison.

My actual requirement was to compare Midplane & 3D results.

could you please share your experience in comparing both together.

waiting for a positive reply,

regards,

B.Vasanth
