Hello all,
I have question regarding the import of external meshes (3D mesh), created in Hypermesh 11.0. I want to use, exactly this mesh within Moldflow. When I export the Mesh from Hypermesh as *.nas file, the import into Moldflow works, BUT the mesh is not really accepted. So I have to "remesh" the imported mesh. Within this meshing process in Moldflow the outer shell (outer faces of the tetras) stay exactly the same, BUT inside the part the shape of the elements is changing. Is it possible to import an external mesh and performing the simulation with this exact mesh? (it's import that the position and the amount of nodes, as well as the node numbers do NOT change)
Thanks a lot in advance!
George
PS: Within HW11.0 the export to udm is not supported anymore...
Hi GG,
I would suggest you can fusion mesh in hypermeshv11.0, export as .udm file or .nas file. then import to moldflow and mesh as 3d. that would really work.
please let me know for any clarifications.
