importing CATIA V5 mesh into Moldflow

Dear all,

I am trying to mesh my part using CATIA V5. after meshing the part, export options available are *.dat and *.models

CATIA V5 MESH TO MOLDFLOW.jpg

Any body can help, how we can import the meshed model into Moldflow. This is just a surface mesh (tria) which will be converted to 3D mesh in Moldflow.

Also is there any advantage of using CATIA V5 meshing over hypermesh meshing?

Thank you very much in advance to whom will be so kind to answer.

Regards

JK

Hi,

use the *.dat fitler and rename the file after export to *.bdf.

With Catia V5 native data there will be no data quality loss by converting in exchange formats.
