I have a model for moldflow from Hyper mesh and it is in 'nas' Can I import it into Moldflow as a 3D model and if so do I need to remesh it in Moldflow as a 3D model. What is tthe best way to import this.
thanks in advance
Yes, you can.
You can just import the Nastran file using the 3D option in Synergy.
You will have tetrahedral elements in your study if these were used in Hypermesh.
You do not need to remesh.
WHEN I IMPORT THE MODEL AS 3d THE MESH AREA ASKES FOR 'REFINE MESH' CANNOT START ANNALYSIS UNTIL THIS BOX IS TICKED. WHAT TO DO WOTH THIS AS YOU SAAID A REMESH IS NOT REQUIRED.
THANKS AGAIN IN ADVANCE
It may depend on the system from which it was exported.
Which version of AMI are you using?
