How to set up or simulate heat insulating plate on mold surface

HI everybody, 

I have some questions, cause we often produce part of high temp polymers. 

When I set up a a mold with coolFEM, what kind of external heat transfer coeff. is Moldflow using. I think for moldflow the outer side of the mold is mold steel. Right? 

But in reality I have heat insulating plates. How can I simulate this?

I have two ideas: 

1. setup a special heat ransfer coeff. for the surface with much lower value. Can this work and what value can be used?

2. moldel the heat insulating plate in Moldflow and assign special properties?

Does anybody have experience with that?
