HI everyone,
i have this problem:
when i import in MF a file with a lot of flutes i obtain a low and bad mesh match percentage, below 80-85%.
In some cases 50% and the worst case 20%.
If the problem is one specific surface, i can isolate it from the cad model, i save as an iges file (because if i save as a solid then MF will import an empty file), i import it in a new study and i mesh separately this surface. Then i add to the principal MF study.
Which mesh percentage match is calculated? triangles with cad model, or triangles with iges model, or what?
p.s.(Any ideas to improve % other than arro project and cad doctor?)
thanks

"Match ratio" = "number of matched triangles" / "total number of triangles, excluding those on brims"
If most of the CAD faces are not matched in the original geometry, it is impossible to increase match ratio.
When match ratio is low for a particular model, you can try 3D.
If you need more help, you can send your CAD model to me: Shoudong.Xu@autodesk.com
