Gate Freeze time

Hello,

Can someone tell me the best way to find the gate freeze time in a 3D Fill+Pack analysis (both hot and cold gate).

and how this time varies after considering the cool analysis.

regards,

klp

you can get the information from the "Time to reach ejection temperature"or "Average volumetric shrinkage",but i would rather using the second one!

On the shopfloor they determine the gate freeze time by checking the part weight over time. When the part weight no longer chagnes, the gate is considered to be frozen.

One new addition to the 2014 release is a new xy plot that shows the part weight over time, which mirrors the shopfloor practice.

Best way to get gate freeze time with 3D analysis is use 'Temperature result (3D)'

& Use a single contour set at the transition temperature to determine when the gate has frozen
