Gas-Assisted Injection Molding. Gas Time and Gas Core Results problem.

Hi,

I made a run on GAIM 3D, and to review the results Gas Core and Gas Time, I can see the progress of gas, can not see anything, just can see the piece, showing no trace of gas. What could be wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

is too less information on this.
As I understand, you cannot see no result of Gas Time or Gas Core, right?

In Log file, do you see Gas Vol % increase?

If you have the Log file available and can attach, that would help (righ-click in Log file window and Save As)

Regards,
Berndt

Hi! I found the problem! The mesh density of gas channel was very small for gas analysis. I've grown as recommended by the progarma and I've been able to visualize the results!

Thank you very much for answering.

I have another question. In my version of MFI (Educational), a can do the analysis for GAIM in Fill-Pack-Warp. Is the limit in this version. My question is, ¿although i can´t do Cool Analysis, the cool channel are considered in the rest of analysis? I ask because when a run the analysis Fill, Fill-Pack or FIll-Pack-Warp, the cool channel inlets turn yellow.

Again, thank you very much.

Regards!

Hi,
the currently available analysis sequences for GAIM of mesh type 3D are:
Fill or Fill+Pack or Fill+Pack+Warp.
The 3D GAIM analysis will use the set Mold Temperature in process settings on plastic-metal interface, where the plastic touches the mold, for all elements..
The cooling circuits will be ignored, as Cool not available in analysis sequence.

In GAIM and mesh type Midplane, Cool analysis is available in analysis sequence.

Berndt

Hi! sorry, I forgot a Question.  If i wanna see the efects  of the cooling channels in the final wall tickness (Gas Core) in GAIM, in 3D analysis; what i can do? Any recomendation, suggestion, methodology or technique?

Thanks!
