Family molds

Gentlemen,
I am having trouble with Family molds solution.
I am trying to model 1+1 family mold in Moldflow.
Parasolid converter would not let me import two different parts into a moldflow project, so I had to use STL. That is fine, but strange.
The Warp analysis would not finish at all. It would run forever and not produce warpage solution.
The error message was something to do with AMG solver not being able to solve.
The Fill was fine.
Does anyone have any experience with Family molds (two different parts molded together).
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks in advance,
Mimi

Hello Mimi,

Did you already try to change the matrix solver in process settings?

As I could understand you have AMG solver on, and the message error said that "AMG solver not being able to solve".
So, try to change the matrix solver to another one, for example, automatic.

I hope that this will help you...!!!

1.) Try importing each component into its' own study file for meshing purposes.

2.) Select one of the study models to export as a UDM. Export the model (File>Export (Wheel over the file type to UDM)). Name the file and
press OK.

3.) Close out the exporting study file and open the other one.

4.) Select File>ADD. Change the model type to UDM. Select your exported UDM file and select OK.
