Equivalent grade of Luvocom 1-0889-4 (PA66 with GF+CF) in Moldflow databse

Dear all,

Is there any grade of PA66 with both Glass fiber + Carbon fiber grades in the Moldflow database.

We are trying to find the equivalent grade of Luvocom 1-0889-4 for which the details are attached.

Hello JK,

The IDES spec sheet that you attached contains only phycial  properties for the polymer Luvocom 1-0889-4

for you to be able to select an equivalent grade of material you would need to know the filler content of both Carbon fibre and glass. Also there is no rheological data on the sheet so you can not even search for an equivalent melt flow rate . More information is required on the polymer before you can do a comprehensive search. Their are numerous PA66 materials with fillers but vary widely in filler contents and flow rates you need to narrow it down  by getting more information first.  If you at least know the melt flow rate you can search on materials of the PA66 family with fillers and find the nearest one that way.  If you have found several with similar melt flow rates  check out the viscosity index for them as well as a fruther check.   Typically the IDES datasheets do not contain the information required to conduct a rheological  comparison search
