Dynamic paddle shift

Dear AMI support staff,

I have a question about dynamic paddle shift simulation in AMI.

Is it a bidirectional coupled simulation between the resin flow and the inserted products?

Or  is it unidirectional?

Thanks in advance,

Noritaka Inoue

Hello Inou-san,

Dynamic Paddle Shift analysis simulates the thickness change of the package (cavity) due to the movement of the paddle (insert) caused by non-uniform pressure distribution since MPI 5.0 release. Coupling analyses of flow and structural are done dynamically so that interaction between flow and paddle shift is calculated by the Dynamic Paddle Shift Analysis.

Hope this answers to your question.

Best regards,

Dear Fujimoto-san,

Thank you for your reply but I've not understood it well yet.

I want to simply know it is unidirectional or bidirectional.

Which is correct?

Does 'calculating the interaction between flow and paddle shift' means that it is bidirectional?

Thanks in advance,

Noritaka Inoue

Hello Inoue-san,

It means unidirectional analysis.

Best regards,

Tetsuro
