core and cavity temperature

Hi All

I want to ask how to know optimum core and cavity temperature(recomended),because i just got mold temperature recomended not core and cavity temperature(in molding window analysis sequence)

Thank you

I would start with the cavity and core target temperatures both equal to the optimal temperature obtained from the mold window analysis. Sometimes you can decrease warpage by intentionally creating difference between core and cavity temperatures so the "differential cooling effect" would have an opposite direction to the warpage obtained with equall core and cavity temperatures. Do it cautiously though - it is easy to make a significant error in warpage calculations and instead of cancelling other effects the differential cooling may increase warpage.

Obviously, sometimes it is difficult to get adequate cooling in cores so we have to live with some differential cooling.
