Cooling Time value not displayed correctly in Machine Setup Log

Why is the Cooling Time not displayed correctly in the Machine Setup Log when running a Cooling analysis for all mesh types?

There is a way to change the Cooling time value for DD analyses only.  To my knowledge it is not supported for 3D analyses. (DD: Process Settings > Advanced Options > Process Controller > Edit > Time Control (Fill+Pack) > Cooling Time).  Changing this value does not affect the results.

This Time Control is used in calculations only when no Cool analysis has been simulated. If the Cool analysis has been run, the solvers use the calculated values from the Cool analysis results.

The Cooling Time output is incorrect in the Machine Setup Log when running a Cooling analysis.

Hi,

There is gap between analysis and the real case.

for example: melt temperature set in the machine is 220 deg C. but in the machine the value will be change + or - 10 deg C.

In the case of moldflow exact 220 deg C will be taken as for the calculation.

if you want to do the exact correlation, there is option called Cool (FEM). you have to do the analysis with entire mold of the part (Cavity & Core blocK).

it will give the better resutls.
