Hi everyone, maybe it could be a very simple question:
i start with a filling analysis. Then when i've optimized pressures and gate location i want to run a fill+pack+warp analysis.
Usually i duplicate the filling study, i switch to the new analysis type and i run it.
Sometimes MF completes the "new" filling in 1 minute (maybe it is still in its memory) and MF jumps immediately to packing. Sometimes it run again the filling.
The question is:
how can i avoid to run again the filling and continue immediately with packing and warpage analysis? thanks

ya, i agree with your suggestion. however i tried with this option. some time i got the same issue again.
Hello,
If you are performing only a Fill analysis for one study & duplicating that study to do some modifications in process or in gate location to perform a Flow+Warp analysis it will consider as a new analysis & it will start running from the Fill - Pack & Warp analysis.
But if we already ran a Fill+Pack analysis & try to duplicate the same study & do some changes only in your Packing profile (not in a fill time or Melt & Modl Temp) , warp analysis settings & perform Fill+Pack+Warp analysis, then the analysis will starts only from Pack analysis it wont perform new fill analysis for you.
In your case it will consider as a new study if you do these kind of major changes in gating locations & Processing conditions. Then analysis will starts from the filling cycle not directly to Packing,
Thank you

Please Note the following
1. If you are Using Midplane or Dual domain mesh. It is possible. If you are using 3D mesh. It is not possible.
2. when you complete fill study, when you set as fill +pack ... try to duplicate the study. If not, it will delete fill results and starts from fill analysis.
3. If you change mesh or fill control, then it starts from fill.
4. Try to check setting in solver, when running analysis log should show as below
.
5. Restart file :
6. Refer the following, how to set Restart
7. Refer the following, how to use restart files to exted analysis.
If not solved your problem, Plese reply.
Thank you madhukeshwart for the complete answer.
I tried point 7 and it works.
Maybe my mistake was this:
after running the pack analysis, i check if filling parameters were correct. Maybe Moldflow thought they were different.
Thanks
