Hi all,
I have read through numerous postings regarding volumetric shrinkage. From what I understand, one would take the "maximum observed" values and compare them to the predicted values? This confuses me as the "observed" are always around 1% and the predictions are never close to that - from ~.1 to ~12-15%. And which value do we compare our result to, the parallel or perpendicular?
How do we present to our customer that there could be sink or blemishes via the volumetric shrinkage plot? I guess I dont know to say, "at 10% you will see some sink". Is there an easy method or correlating the predicted values to real life surface blemishes. And from what I understand, the sink plots are built from midplane technology so it sounds like that is not a great option.
Any help in this dilemma would be greatly appreciated!
