Navigation Wheel -> Modeling wheel

Hello,

I just had a closer look at the Navigation wheel. Frankly, I have to admit that I am not using it for navigation.

The combined usage of mouse and 3D-mouse is more efficient in my opinion.

However, I got the idea that the navigation wheel could be used for modifications as well.

It should be able to

a.) Configure the wheel to hold the commands for mesh modification

b.) allow for individualizing of the wheel

c.) spare one quarter of the wheel to select elements/nodes on the model

This should set off some of the disadvantages I see at the moment concerning the user interface

a.) Fixed ribbon interface (no real individual set-up of tool bars possible possible)

b.) pivot point visible/obscuring mesh details in many occasions

I'ld like to be able to set up individal set up too.

We have been looking at some improvements for this (and also for the ribbon tabs). In the beta there are some better options available under hte right mouse button. Still more to be done though, no doubt.
