Mesh Confusion

Mesh Confusion

Hello,

Normally we are facing trouble to select correct mesh type for the product . whether use DD or 3D .Instead of this ,if it is possible You can change the option like always use 3D meshing.

then try to improve the mesh accuracy , result accuracy and reduce the meshing time and analyse time  if it is possible.

3D meshing is not giving benefit for well designed plastic part.

You will just end up with huge mesh.

Remember dual domain and midplane use the assumption that the flow is staying in the element plane.

3D it can goes in all direction.

So when you have part with chunky area, it is better to use 3D.

When your part have a proper ration thickness/width, the flow will most likely stay 2 dimensional, and DD will be better.
