variations in filling of parts

when I draw up a primaery runner, a secondary runner, a gate and a part in solidworks, mirror then mirror the mirror. i have four identical parts and runners yet i always get a variation in presures, temperture and fill beteen parts. what is causing this variation.  thanks Jim L

Hi,

generally the recommendation is:

- model 1 cavity, and duplicate cavities in Moldflow Adviser.

- the runner system should be modeled in Moldflow Adviser, so they are beam elements

 

If you model runners in cad, are they 3D?

And do you run a 3D analysis in Moldflow Adviser?

 

Otherwise, if running as Dual Domain the runners are meshed with triangles, which is not recommended.

This can create unexpected result.
