NEW, Evaluation of SIM Software Qs?

Hello, Im new to simulation software. We have a company that wants us to purchase a mold sim software to increase the quality of our molds. Mostly just guesses now.

Questions:

The mold builders are just machinist with no background or schooling in mold engineering, they just machine the part to the plastic mfg shrink spec. throw a gait in where it seems best based on 10 years experience and let it rip.(me being one of them,4 years exper.)

On the running the mold side even less is known, untrained people, where machines were just bought and have been ran for 10-15 years with just experience involved, extremely minimal training.

Both ends, Mold Engineering and Mold running have no technical training.

Will we benefit from this software?

Is there a lot of technical knowledge needed to use this software, even more so to make any use or sense of the outcome?

Any directional help would be helpful, I am the only technical person here but my background is in CAD(3D animation), computers ( technician), dental lab/CAD CAM/electrical engineering(some physics).

The Help of Autodesk Moldflow Adviser has a good tutorial of how to use, and also guidance to result interpretation. Tutorial models available with installation.

Having experience of using CAD is good, which help to adapt to the user interface of Autodesk Moldflow Adviser more rapidly.
