Hi,
there is to less information to understand what is going on.

As you mention "calculate suitability", I assume you run in Autodesk Moldflow Adviser, right?

There is an option in Autodesk Moldflow Adviser when importing model, to "Check suitability".
Un-tick it and rei-mport to see in model is read in, as this issue might be model quality related.

Re. system requirements, have a look at:

what do you mean the model would not be high enough quality? its a very simple piece, a handle to be exact.

Every time I try to have a suggested gate on the part, it gets stuck at either "calculating suitability", or "processsing model" it gets stuck like this for hours

my laptop specs are

AMD Turion Dual core 2.3Ghz processor

4.0GB of Ram

Windows 7

maybe this is not enough computing power to simulate moldflow in a part even this simple?

Hi,

it seems as your hardware specification is enough, as you write it is a simple piece.

But a simple piece can have model quality issues as well.

Which release of Autodesk Moldflow Adviser are you running?

Can you supply the model?

Berndt

hmmm...could all of this be the fact that i'm running on an educational license? as opposed to a full purchased version? (student currently)

there is the part....its pretty simple as far as handles go, so i don't know exactly what is going wrong....

maybe everything did not install correctly or i did not register everything correctly with having my educational license only?

thank you for attaching the model.

The model imports fine in native .ipt format to Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2012, it runs and completes as expected.
Imported the model to Inventor Fusion, created a stl-file, and it to Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2012, it runs and completes as expected.

Ran a 3D analysis, and it completes within 5 minutes.

I am not aware of limitations in the student version. Your model should pass.
