"Model suitability: The imported model is thick and chunky, and is appropriate for 3D analysis. As a Dual Domain analysis has been performed, you should take care when interpreting the results."
How should i be interpreting the reuslts differently? what specifically should i be aware of?
Hi,
what you should be aware of is that if having thicker and chunky areas you may get cooling and packing problems, and increased cycle-time. If the model is extremely thick in those areas, it will drastically increase the cycle-time.
Cooling and packing problems then might cause warpage problems.
The flow front advancement and flow pattern is affected, and this affects weld lines position.
In Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2010, you can run Geometry to get information on Model suitability and Model complexity.
In Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2011, you can run Design Adviser to get information on Nominal wall thickness.( and Draft angle and Undercut)
If having Autodesk Moldflow Adviser Manufacturing or Advanced you can run a 3D analysis on the part.
