Fill Pressure Too Much

How would you know if the pressure at the end of the fill is too much? You do not know yet what molding machine to use, hence the machine capacity.

Hi,

When analyzing a part without a runner system, the pressure to fill the part is best when under 50% of the machine capacity.
If you do not know what specific machine is going to be used, assuming the machine's pressure capacity is 140 MPa is a conservative approach.
That would mean 70 MPa maximum pressure to fill.

The pressure available at the nozzle is normally between 160 MPa and 300 MPa. 200 MPa is around the average.
This means you can use 90-100 MPa maximum pressure to fill, when analyzing a part without a runner system.

The default maximum pressure in process settings, is set to 180MPa, and to account for a runner system.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Berndt
