I am getting this error when running the simulation after successfull solid meshing. I have tried refining the mesh but so far it has only changed the error to a different part. This is quite a large model so I can't refine the mesh too much further. Does anyone know how to track down this problem and fix it?
Cheers
Perhaps you could provide an archive of your model only.
What is your email, I will send you the download link.
I have replied through a product support case, but an posting here for purposes of completion:
I have replicated this error on my computer. I have documented this problem and have forwarded this information to development. As a work-around, for each part in your model, access the "Element Definition" and choose not to include the mid-side nodes.
Mid-side nodes will increase the quality of results for stress analyses, but do not improve the quality of the calculation for heat transfer analyses. Also, there is no longer the requirement that heat transfer and stress analyses models have the same number of nodes, since the temperature results are interpolated onto the stress analysis model, so that each model may in fact contain different mesh densities.
For your model, I accessed the Element Definition for each part and chose the "Reset from Default" button, then selected "Temperature Dependent Isotropic" as the material model to match your original material model configuration. Attempting to run the analysis produced another error message regarding missing material properties. I have documented this problem and have forwarded this information to development. The work-around is to select "Temperature dependant orthotropic" as the material model, then access the "Orientation" tab and enter the three node numbers to define your orthotropic material axis directions, then visit the Material properties and copy the X-direction conductivity from the first field to the remaining two fields (Y and Z) for each temperature index. You model will then analyze without problems. Please let me know if you have further questions or comments regarding this issue.
