So 2014 version has been announced but what happened to Multiphysics?
I have been a user Autodesk 2012 & 2013 Multiphysics(and Algor before that) teaching to engineering students
buckling, non-linear material responce, heat flow and fluid flow modelling. All in one Application.
Now it seems a package that combines all this (ie includes fluid flow and mechanical) is not an option?
Confused (and the web site compare link is chaotic and unhelpfull).
Sometimes sends you to mould flow. ??

Hi Doc,
This text is from the What's New ("Getting Started > New Features > What's New").
Fluid flow, mass transfer, and coupled multiphysics analyses are no longer available in this
product. Accordingly, the Generate Fluid Part command has also been removed from the
Mesh tab of the ribbon. Refer to Autodesk Simulation CFD for fluid flow analysis needs.
I encourage all users to review the What's New to learn about the changes to the software.
Go see "whats new". ??
Not so much "whats new" but "whats gone".
Linked multiphysics and fluid flow. All Gone.
Just like that.
Go buy two products.
Astonishing.
@afcalder & @ilyas;
All of our commercial customers with an active subscription to Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics 2013 were automatically migrated to a combination of Simulation Mechanical 2014 and Simulation CFD Advanced 2014 (+ CFD’s UI = design study environment)
If you have old Fluid flow results you analyzed in Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics 2013, you can still look at those results in the 2013 software, since you can have both the 2013 and 2014 version of Autodesk Simulation installed on the same computer side by side.
The decision to “end of life” Multiphysics was in an effort to provide our customers with our best in class CFD offering from Autodesk, which in this case is Autodesk Simulation CFD 2014. This tool can help you simulate MANY Multiphysics scenarios including thermal-fluid transient cases including compressible flow and cavitation effects none of which Simulation Multiphysics could simulate.
Also thanks to the interoperability between Simulation Mechanical 2014 and Simulation CFD 2014 you can transfer the thermal results from CFD to Mechanical (example: Linear static stress or MES analyzes) to perform thermal stress calculations. Using an add-on-app to CFD (free) which we released on the Autodesk Simulation App store, you can also map pressure results from Simulation CFD to Simulation Mechanical.

You can also watch the following episode of SIMTV to learn more about this new technology to map pressures from CFD to Mechanical: http://vp.telvue.com/preview?id=T01885&video=149819

We're nearing renewal of our software (we are running 2013 Multiphysics). Having used these simulation products (from back in the Algor days), there have been many changes: some good, some bad. Now it appears that Multiphysics is gone, being replaced with two separate packages, of which one seems to be significantly different (Simulation CFD). Is there any way we can get an eval copy of this new package before we commit?
