SIMULATION MODULE NOT LOADED IN INVENTOR

I have Mechanical Simulation 2014, and Inventor 2013 which were just reinstalled on my new computer.

I want to transfer model out of Inventor directly into simulation like I did before this installation, but the stress analysis button is not active in the Inventor menu.

Under add-ins, the module is selected to load automatically as far as I can see, but does not. And, it is the only module that does not.

Can someone help me solve this issue?

Thanks

Raman3

Try Running Regall.bat.  It should hopefully reconnect the plugin.

To run regall.bat you must do so from the command prompt as an administrator.

How do I open an elevated command prompt?

Check the title bar to know if you are in the command prompt as an administrator.  It should state Administrator.

In the command prompt type the following commands:

Cd\

<enter>

C:

<enter>

Depending on which program you are running the next steps can vary:

  • Simulation Mechanical 2014

CD Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation 2014

  • Simulation Mechanical/Multiphysics 2013

CD Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation 2013

  • Simulation Mechanical/Multiphysics 2012

CD Program Files\Autodesk\Algor Simulation 2012

  • Simulation 360 Pro 2014

CD Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation 360 2014\Simulation Mechanical 360 2014

<enter>

Regall.bat

<enter>

Thanks,

James
