I have a vessel that I have analyzed using 3d elements. There are areas where the geometry makes abrupt changes and so I have to use the Stress Linearization tool to determine the bending and membrane stresses in that area.
My problem is, when I launch the Stress Linearization tool, it sits there for about 30 seconds and then gives me the error:
Run-Time Error '7' - Out of Memory
My machine has 12GB of RAM and I've got Resource Monitor open. I've still got over 6GB free. Anybody have any idea why this is happening?
As an additional data point, I tried another, much simpler model just to make sure it wasn't model dependent. The simpler model works just fine.
Perhaps my model is just too big?
