We are considering the use of Algor for FEA of structural components. How is the modeling aspect of Algor? Does it have a built-in modeling function to create models or do models have to be imported from other CAD software? We have AutoDesk AutoCAD for our 2-D drawings but also have AutoDesk Revit for 3-D. Can 3-D models from Revit be imported into Algor? We do not have AutoDesk Invention.
FYI… I spoke with Ed with ALGOR. We worked through exporting with Revit and was able to import an ACIS (SAT) file of a Revit model. The export/import appeared to work very well with no issues observed.
