Model Works with 1 load case -> Copied load case crazy results

Hello Everyone,

I am simulation a long tower that has a gravitational load applied while having 3 points (center points of the lugs). The object is as follows

12-7-2011 6-15-57 PM.png

As you can see, the gravity is going down. Here is what I get from the results:

12-7-2011 6-27-17 PM.png

The probes indicate the Reaction Force, which is pretty close to what I had calculated manually.

But now, if I copy this load case and change the gravity to become as follows (face hidden just for this illustration)

12-7-2011 6-29-43 PM.png

That is what I get:

12-7-2011 6-33-26 PM.png

The weirdest part is that I get no error message.

I tried reducing the stiffness of the rigid links on the center of the lug holes, but to no avail.

I tried also appliying the gravity at 90 degrees and the same thing happened.

I tried recreating the mesh after coping it, but it was also to no avail.

Any ideas as why this is happening?

Thanks a lot!

For a moment I considered deliting the entry, but than I though that this might be useful to someone else.

When I changed the diraction of the Gravity, the object could move towards the Y axis and this is what caused the problems.

So, if this ever happens, it is because your model is not properly fixed...
