Meshing Issue

I am trying to analyize a trailer frame and I have two I beams that are the excact same, but one wants to mesh really fine and the other meshes norma. What would cause this?  And want can I do so they will mesh the same.

Jrose,

I'm not sure why one beam is meshing differently than the other, unless you have some small feature in one that isn't in the other.

 

I'm assuming you are setting your mesh density by using the percentage slider. If you want both beams to mesh identically, you can force the mesh settings for just the beams by doing the following:

 

- Right click on the part CAD Mesh Options. Use CTRL to select both beams.

- Select "Part"

- Click "Options"

- Under type, select "Absolute mesh size"

- Select the appropriate size

 

When you re-mesh, the beams should look identical.
