How to group surfaces

Hello,

is there any possibility to group surfaces ?

For adding loads inside of a part I have to suppress the external surfaces. It would be helpful that these surfaces are grouped or that they are on a layer, so that I can turn on/off very easily. But I haven't found a way of putting them on a layer or something similar.

Maybe someone has a hint. Thanks.

I asked a similar question a little while back.  Maybe that discussion will help (link below).
