You cannot do that because there are no nodes on the slice plane, and all of the graphing capabilities are based on graphing results at the nodes. Instead, you can do one of these:
- If you know where you need the slice plane, slice or split the CAD model before importing it into Sim Mechanical. That will give you nodes on the "slice plane" surface.
- Depending on the type of result, accuracy required, and mesh size, you may be able to select some of the elements and hide them instead of using the slice plane. This will give an uneven surface instead of a plane, but you will be able to select the nodes that are near the plane.
