Frequency response analysis - Phase Shift (in degrees) of Applied Excitation

Hello --

In frequency response analysis input under the "Excited nodes" tab, there is an option to input "Phase Shift (in degrees) of Applied Excitation". What does this mean? What is the reference -- e.g., if the phase shift were 10 degrees, this 10 degrees of phase shift is referenced to what component at zero degrees? Is this phase shift relative to a particular "Freq index"; if so, which?

Thanks,

Don C.
