Contact error! Help please!

Hello,

I'm trying to perform a linear static stress analysis between parts which are bolted together using the 'Bolt' function in CAD additions combined with surface contact as the parts are not bonded or welded together.

When I run the analysis I get an error message saying to "use SSAP0G or SSAP0GC for models containing gap or contact elements". I am using Windows and these seem to be instructions for performing the analysis on Linux. I cannot find a dialog box or anything to change this parameter

The analysis runs fine when I choose bonded contact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Pete

Hi Pete,

  1. What version of the software are you using? ("Help > About" or the header of the log files that are produced by the processor and viewable from the Report environment.)
  2. How are you running the analysis? Through the interface? By using the Scheduler capability? From a command prompt or batch file? Something else?
