Why use Revit to Fusion to CFD?

Hi,

I was wondering what is the best way to import revit files into ASIM CFD. I've read a lot of information and some recommend the file transfer path should be: revit to inventor fusion to CFD instead of revit striaght to CFD. I was wondering why this would be benefical?

Also since Revit does have the ability to have a CFD plug-in

Thank you!

This really depends on the quality of your Revit model. CFD will read through exactly what you have on screen and so long as it is well modelled and all edges meet accurately there would likely be no issues.

We only really use Fusion to help automatically clean up a model.
