View Factors

Is there a way to look up the viewfactor file generated between two surfaces in Autodesk Simulation CFD?

Madiresy,

The view factors between every part are saved in the “.sol” file. The sol file is found in the solver folder located in C:\Path\Design Study Name\Design Name\Scenario Name\solver. You can use a text editor to view it. Example data:

Opaque Part-To-Part View Factors
Part 1 viewing Part 1, VF = 0.309259
Part 1 viewing Part 2, VF = 0.0286645
Part 1 viewing Part 4, VF = 0.241882

Hi Scott,

i can not find the view factors in the .sol file. In the .sol file it says "View Factors are stored in-core,"
Can you tell me where to find the view factors between all the parts of my Simulation?

much appreciated.

Josh
