Hey!
I have a Problem with Autodesk Simulation CFD 2014.
1. Goal: I want to simulate a Transient Heat Transfer in a Semiconductor Device.
2. Model: from Inventor 2014 -> Picture 1
3. Materials: copper / silicon / aluminium -> Picture 1
4. Boundary Conditions: 4.1 Total Heat Generation in Chip / Picewise Linear / Plot -> Picture 2
4.2 Constant Temperature on buttom Plane = 23°C -> Picture 3
5. Initial Conditions: All Parts have a Initial Temperature of 23°C
6. Mesh Sizing: Automic Mesh
7. Solve: 7.1 Physics: only Heat Transfer
7.2 Control: -> Picture 4
8. Solving without saving: The Simulation runs, but without saving Points T(t). -> Picture 5
9. PROBLEM: solving with saving:
when you want to save Intervals (-> picture 6), Simulation CFD hangs up (-> picture 7),
means:
you can watch the Convergence Plot to the Point of first try of saving (2 secounds /
Picture 7).
You can not stop the solving progress. Also a restart of the
Programm does not solve the "Stoproblem". You have to restart the Computer,
after that you can stop the solving, but without saving of any solutions.
1 - Model and Material
2 - Boundary Conditions - Total Heat Generation
3 - Boundary Conditions - Temperature
4 - Solving without saving
5 - Solution without saving 1
6 - solving with saving 1
7 - solving with saving, hang up
