PCB file formats in SImulation CFD 2014

Dear Fluid Experts,

Please help me in following,

1. Can file extensions emp & emn (used for PCB's) be imported directly into Simulation CFD tool ?

2. Whether 3D part of above file formats can be imported & edited in SImulation CFD ?

Many Thanks

Regards,

Ajay

Hi Ajay,

The only way to do this would be through a support CAD system, listed here or by saving out an acis or parasolid file that we can read in directly. The advantage of using CAD (even Fusion which comes free with CFD) is that you could also make some model simplifications in advance of working within CFD, which has no tools that allow geometry modification.

Kind regards,

Jon
