Meshing and heat generation question

Hi,

If I need only flow without any heat transfer, does the automatic meshing mesh only the surfaces or the solid parts or does it still mesh the entire 3D volume?

Also, instead of heat geneartion can you have a negative vale (i.e. heat absorption) this would be a simplified AC cooling coil.

Hello Geethu,

You are correct, yes. Although this is not an automatic process, you can suppress any solid parts from the mesh and just run with the fluid only.

You are also correct with the technique for modelling heat loss from a model. We typically apply this to a solid part (try to avoid internal surface boundary conditions).
