Hi,
I am trying to import geometry from Creo 3.0 to Simulation CFD 2015. I have 1 x 1" diameter inlet plus multiple 1mm diameter inlets and 1 x 1" outlet. I suspect the issue is with the tiny inlets. The reason I know this is because when I eliminate them, the file imports fine.
Can someone please help me to understand why this is? and is there anything I can do to fix this?
Kind regards
Kristian

Hi Kristian
If the geometry has good integrity and assuming there is sufficient memory available there should not be an issue. Is there any way you can share the problematic model? We would be glad to take a look at it.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Jon,
Thank you very much for your response.
I seem to have been able to get it imported as a .stp file, however I now have the problem that I cannot select the small inlets for building surface with a view to void fill.
It would be great to show you the model, would it be possible to email it to you? I have some IP issues in uploading it here.
Kind regards
Kristian
Try using an ACIS export from CREO file instead of STEP. Sometimes that will get around some issues.
