Hi,
I'm setting up a flow/thermal simulation in a complicated geometry (simplified as much as possible). Autosizing gave me ~25 million elements. When I solve the study, the mesher process consumed ~42 gigs of memory when I stopped the analysis since I thought that was too many elements.
My question is - is there a thumb rule for how much memory and processing power I need per, say, 1 million elements?
I'm running the simulation on a server with 96 GB RAM and 2 processors @ 3.47 GHz.
Thanks,
Nikhil
